Hi, I am trying to download OS X El Capitan file onto my old MacBook Pro (late 2009, running El Capitan 10.11.6) so I can create a bootable USB drive to then use on a 2009 and 2010 MBP.
When I try to download the file through the Apple Support link which redirects you to the App Store to download El Capitan, I receive the message 'This version of OS X 10.11 cannot be installed on this computer'.
I do not have access to El Capitan through the 'Purchases' tab either because I am not the original owner of the MacBook. I bought it back in 2011 off of Craigslist.
Any help would be amazing! Thank you!
